A lovely and peaceful spot. Church Bay is a beautiful sheltered cove, a 5 to 10 mins walk. The Lobster Pot restaurant is excellent and the Wavecrest Cafe is also well worth a visit. The farmhouse had lots of character. Everything as described, clean, easy to find, good off road parking and a local pub just opposite. For a large selection of groceries you would need to go to Holyhead:. We had a very relaxing week and would like to go back again.

The whole place and location are amazing and we had the best time with our 2 young boys. Everything was immaculate and very safe for the kids too. The setting couldn't be better. We will be coming back as soon as possible.

What a fantastic location, and such a lovely house with great hosts. Victoria was fantastic and really responsive. The house and area are private and cosy, with a short walk to the beach which again is very secluded. Short drive to nearby towns and plenty to do. Such a special place, and one to return to!

A lovely and peaceful retreat away from the inner city chaos of Leeds. Value for money and a great host are Victoria and mark. Hopefully will be back in the near future when the it’s warmer and the days longer. Thank you Mohammed and family

We enjoyed every moment of the four nights we spent in the Loft in September. The area is beautiful and quiet. The loft is spacious and well-equipped, and the wood fire kept us cosy in the evenings. It's a lovely conversion of a beautiful old barn.

This is a beautiful property. It was spacious but cosy. The bedrooms are huge. Victoria and Mark are very friendly. We very much appreciated the thoughtfulness of the hot water bottles in the beds ready for our arrival in the middle of a very miserable night. We wished we could have enjoyed the area and house for longer but we were only passing through. We definitely recommend a stay here and we hope to be able to visit again to really get to enjoy the property.

Don't hesitate. Just book. It's beautiful here - instant peace from the first breath of sea air as you arrive. The views from every window are outstanding. We really enjoyed watching the sea, including the ferries leaving Holyhead. Swallows and chickens in the courtyard are entertaining. The house is well equipped for cooking and dining in. We loved the Wavecrest cafe, a few minutes' walk down the hill. Our daughters enjoyed crabbing at Cemaes bay harbour and Beaumaris pier. Victoria and Mark have an excellent webpage with information on what you can do and where you can eat. The beach that is a few minutes' walk away is stunning, and the water calm and clear when we were there. You can see and hear cows in the fields at the top of the cliffs, as you take a peaceful dip. Magic.

We had a lovely stay at Pen Y Graig and a warm welcome from Mark and Victoria. The house is charming and comfortable, spotlessly clean; with everything you need. The views from the garden are amazing, looking out over Church Bay. Having the Church Bay Inn close by was a lovely bonus, with it's gorgeous outside area and relaxed atmosphere. We had a great holiday.

Gorgeous place, tastefully decorated and so peaceful. Firm but comfortable bed. Lovely extra touches with a stocked fridge and binoculars in the living room. Victoria was welcoming and flexible, letting us park our car and check in early so we could go for a cycle. We’ll definitely be back and would whole heartedly recommend!

Directions from the Coastal Footpath in Church Bay to Pen y Graig and The Loft B&B

Pen y Graig is the large farmhouse and outbuildings which can be seen below the church, 500 m away – behind The Lobster Pot Restaurant.
From Church Bay/Porth Swtan beach, walk up the road passing the Wavecrest Cafe, Swtan Folk Museum, car park and loos on the right and Lobster Pot on the left.

At the T junction turn left and follow the road or take the SHORTCUT – a footpath on the left, opposite Ty Newydd campsite (half way along the road) – follow this path and turn left onto the road, continue up the hill passing Hafan and Mor Gwyn, Bwythyn Bach, Bwythyn Awel (3 houses in one)

Pen y Graig is the next property on the left. The Loft entrance is directly in front of you, in the range of outbuildings.
Victoria and Mark live on the left as you come into the courtyard – please call here for assistance – not at the farmhouse.
